I Segreti della Val Nervia
Il giardino all’italiana dei Doria di Dolceacqua
Qualche settimana fa ho avuto il piacere di parlare con Andreino Eremita, nostro concittadino con l’hobby della storia delle zone limitrofe a Dolceacqua.
Non l’avevo mai conosciuto prima, sebbene la notorietà della sua passione lo avesse preceduto, ma devo dire che la chiaccherata si è rivelata piuttosto interessante.
Oltre a scoprire che collabora spesso con a Voce Intemelia, pubblicando articoli sempre inerenti alla storia, sono venuto a conoscenza del fatto che cura da ormai un annetto un blog, aggiornato saltuariamente con i suoi articoli, ma dai contenuti decisamente interessanti per chi vuol capire meglio come si sia evoluta la civiltà nell’estremo ponente ligure.

So che Andreino ha fatto qualche tentativo per partecipare attivamente a questo Blog in cui scrivo, ma ha avuto qualche problema tecnico. Se volesse sono sempre a disposizione per dargli due dritte. Tra l’altro durante la chiaccherata mi ha detto che sarebbe voluto intervenire durante una diatriba sul convento che, secondo quanto riferitomi, in epoche diverse fu dimora sia di Agostiniani che di Benedettini, dando quindi ragione a entrambe le parti in causa.
Approfittando per complimentarmi ancora con Andreino, pubblico un suo articolo molto interessante su Dolceacqua :
Il giardino all’italiana dei Doria di Dolceacqua
Dolceacqua è stata il Rinascimento.
Nei primi anni del cinquecento il grande ammiraglio Andrea Doria riconcuistava il feudo di Dolceacqua caduto in mano ai Grimaldi di Monaco, e vi poneva a capo il nipote Stefano Doria.
Stefano, grande interprete del suo tempo, era un capitano di ventura che con le sue milizie aveva compiuto tutte le tappe di una brillante carriera militare a servizio dei potenti dell’epoca , tra cui l’imperatore Carlo V di Spagna, Carlo III di Savoia e la repubblica di Genova. Una carriera militare che gli fece acquisire un grande prestigio e enormi ricchezze che destinò all’ampliamento del castello, privandolo del carattere prevalentemente militare e severo che aveva avuto in passato,dotandolo di una nuova veste signorile con sontuosi arredi, preziosi arazzi di Fiandra, affreschi del più celebre pittore della scuola Genovese Luca Cambiaso.Conclusi i lavori al castello Stefano darà vita ad un nuovo progetto che non avrà eguali nel Ponente Ligure. La costruzione di una sontuosa villa con giardino all’italiana, seguendo tutti i canoni dettati dai centri propulsori dell’arte del giardino delle prestigiose ville di Roma e Firenze.
Una stampa seicentesca che ripropone a volo d’uccello il borgo medioevale di Dolceacqua, anche se denota alcuni aspetti scenografici di pura fantasia, celebra il fasto e l’opulenza di Stefano Doria attraverso la spettacolare realizzazione del Giardino all’italiana andato perduto nell’ottocento con l’urbanizzazione dell’area.
L’ingresso del giardino era posto al centro di un portico a vela sorretto da colonne intercalate da statue. Sui due lati avevano inizio i viali con assi prospettici finalizzati a creare effetti panoramici con giardini contornati da siepi modellate a geometrie diverse con una fontana decagonale al centro.
Dall’alto la villa a due piani, con il frontale composto da quatro grandi vetrate con arco a tutto sesto, dominava tutta l’area destinata a giardino e vi si accedeva secondo una precisa regia architettonica attraverso due ampie scalinate laterali ed un terrazzo.
La villa, divenuta civile abitazione nei primi anni dell’ottocento, conserva parte della struttura architettonica pur essendo stata resa mutila di una scalinata. Sui due lati della villa era ubicato l’orto coltivato a essenze aromatiche, piante per gli speziali , ortaggi e fiori. L’area che costeggiava due lati del torrente,inglobava il grande giardino dei citroni come si evince da documenti dei primi anni del cinquecento.
Filari di alberi di agrumi con funzione ornamentale, piante giunte in Italia a seguto delle crociate convergevano formando gli spicchi di un grande cerchio con un pozzo al centro, rimasto inglobato nel giardino dell’asilo infantile fino agli anni novanta e poi distrutto.
Sul lato sinistro della villa , giardini pensili e piante ornamentali sempreverdi costeggiavano un viale che conduceva al ninfeo, struttura ancora leggibile tra le case di Via Liberazione con una grotta ed un laghetto contornato da piante acquatiche alimentato da zampilli d’acqua erogati da mascheroni, posti alle pareti , modellati con un grazioso collage di lumachine bianche.
Quattro nicchie alle pareti contenevano statue raffiguranti ninfe delle acque. Un grande ambiente a tre arcate , laterale al ninfeo guarnito di un grande bassorilievo, che rappresentava lo stemma del casato, era il luogo di rifugio dei Doria dalla calura delle roventi giornate d’estate . Era luogo d’incontro e di allegri conversari con gli ospiti di una delle più ricche e potenti corti rinascimentali della Liguria .

Nella giornata inaugurale della BIT a Milano il Comune di Dolceacqua è stato premiato dal Touring Club Italiano come Comune che ha realizzato il “Miglior Programma di accoglienza”.
Certo che Andrea custodiva un tesoro nascosto. (Il suo blog)Leggendolo ho potuto trarre capitoli affascinanti. Ho sempre saputo che era una persona riservata e discreta, ed per questo che l’ho sempre ammirato. Sopratutto per quello che fà con le api, rispettandone tutto il suo meccanismo naturale, ci estrae miele di ottima qualità. Questo tipo di prodotto, se lavorato come lui sa fare, sarebbe da inserirlo nei nostri prodotti tipici locali, anche se sicuramente in qualche modo lo è già. Avevo già fatto un post su di lui in tal senso. Domani ne inserirò un altro, sperando che Tiscali blog funzioni, perchè oggi a partire dalle 15,00, il server non risponde, creandomi non pochi problemi. Ps: oggi su http://www.riviera24.it è uscito un articolo seguente a quello del premio della bit come dice gturs, il quale faccio i complimenti a Fulvio Gazzola. Il tutto non deve essere frainteso, come se fossi un sostenitore di Fulvio o di questa amministrazione, ma ho precisato che ho lodato il risultato eccellente sul lato turistico del paese come organizzazione di marketing nel far conoscere sempre più il paese, nel valorizzare al meglio i nostri prodotti tipici, sperando che altre possibili amministrazioni future se così sarà, continuano a dirigersi in tal senso.
Andrea Eremita è un vero esperto di archeologia, i suoi ritrovamenti sono interessanti, i suoi resoconti dimostrano una competenza non comune, denotano una figura di studioso non allineato, quindi più credibile rispetto all’intellighenzia ufficiale.
